David Firestein, the Shopping Center Group s managing partner, picked up a second, larger unit at the Harrison at 205 West 76th Street for $3.8 million, or $2,400 per square foot, property rec上海千花网龙凤论坛 上海千花社区ords filed with the city Wednesday show.

Firestein told The Real Deal that he bought the new apartment because it’s slightly bigger and is on the other side of the building, so it has a better view.

The pad at the Related Companies-developed building spans 1,572 square feet across tw上海千花网论坛 上海千花网o bedrooms and three bathrooms. There’s a windowed gourmet eat-in kitchen with a sub-zero refrigerator and wine cooler, as well as a formal dining room, according to the listing. The apartment comes with two Equinox Fitness Club memberships, which occupies the retail portion of the building.

The seller, shielded by an LLC, paid $2.9 million for the apartment in 2009, records show. James Perez of Brown Harris Steven s represented Firestein on the purchase of the unit.

Firestein   who bought the apartment with his wife, Sally founded the New York branch of retail brokerage Northwest Atlantic Real Estate Services 23 years ago and served as its principal until Atlanta-based Shopping Center Group bought the firm上海龙凤论坛 新上海贵族宝贝论坛 in 2012.[……]

When U.S. property is ranked according to pr阿爱上海同城 阿拉爱上海同城ice by zip code, California dominates the top 100 most expensive areas to live.

The state is home to 77 of the priciest places to live according to the Los Angeles Tim上海龙凤论坛 新上海贵族宝贝论坛es, with New York coming in second with a mea上海贵族宝贝论坛 上海贵族宝贝sly 19 out of 100. The data, analyzed by Property Shark, determine the ranking based on residential deals last year, which includes all types of homes from multifamily to single-family.

California s top three zip codes were 94027 (Atherton, CA) near Silicon Valley with homes selling for a median price of almost $5 million; 90210 (Beverly Hills) going for about $3.8 million; and 90402 (Santa Monica) at just over $3.5 million.

Within Los Angeles alone, there are 18 zip codes that all made the list include Malibu, Venice, the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Hermosa爱上海同城对对碰 爱上海同城论坛 Beach.

Considering the results, real estate agents all predict homes prices will continue their upward trajectory, though some speculate the rate of increases may slow.

“Prices have been growing in double digits for several years now,” Tami Pardee, CEO of Halton Pardee + Partners, told the Times. “We expect that to drop to single digits.” Others predict comparatively cheaper areas in the state, typically inland, will see big growth. [LAT]  Erin Hudson

Not playing around: Toys R Us to shutter all 735 US stores The iconic brand is discussing a sale of 200 top locations with Canadian counterpart

The death of the once ubiquitous toy retailer Toys R Us is near, after the company announced it planned to close all of its 735 nationwide stores, ending months of efforts to salvage the iconic brand.

The closures include its Babies R Us brand and come six months after filing for bankruptcy in September.  Its December effort to pull itself out of bankruptcy by closing 180 stores apparently failed to help save the company, which employs 33,000 people nationwide, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Toys R Us operates around a dozen stores阿爱上海同城 阿拉爱上海同城 in the Los Angeles area, although the company already planned to close four of those in December. It has about the same number in Miami, according to its website, but none of those was on its上海夜网 阿爱上海同城 list of 11 Florida stores planned for closure in December.

There are around two dozen stores between the New Jersey and the New York City area, according to the company. One of those, the Union Square location in Manhattan, was scheduled for closure in December.

Toys R Us爱上海同城对对碰 爱上海同城论坛 said in a news release that it was discussing a sale of 200 of its top performing U.S. stores to be combined with its Canadian outfit, although didn’t specify if that discussion was related to the Larian bid.

Anthony Bourdain’s Time Warner Center apartment is now available as a $14,200-per-month rental, two months after the celebrity chef committed suicide.

The two-bedrom, two-bathroom pad has hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Hudson River, according to TMZ, which first reported on the listing.

The New York Post i上海贵族宝贝 上海千花网龙凤论坛dentified the condominium as unit 64F, which property records show sold for $2 million in 2004.

Bourdain in 2010 told Fodors.com that he liked to visit the Time Warner Center to eat at Per Se or Masa, but that he thought it was “the ugliest building in the world.”

Akelius planning to overhaul Fiorella La Guardia s former home Swedish firm acquired building for $44M last year

Akelius Real Estate Management is adding 16 new apartments to an East Harlem rental building where the late New York City mayor Fiorello La Guardia once resided.

The renovation, which will not add square footage but will increase the number of apartments from 54 to 70, is described in Department of Buildings filings as converting 15 apartments into 30 apartments.

The U.S. arm of Swedish investment giant Akelius acquired the 56,700-square-foot building上海千花网论坛 上海千花网 from SL Green Realty and Stonehenge in a $44 million all-cash deal last year. The building is home to a mix of free-mark爱上海同城手机版 新爱上海同城对对碰论坛et and rent-stabilized tenants.

The building, at 1274 Fifth Avenue facing Central Park, was built in 1924. La Guardia resided in the building for eight years of his mayoral tenure, which lasted from 1934 to 1945.

The six-story build上海同城对对碰交友社区 上海夜网论坛ing previously had nine tenements per floor, while the new configuration will include 11 to 13 apartments per floor as well as a new apartment in the basement, according to the filings. Scarsdale ranks second on ‘Bloomberg Richest Places’ index

Scarsdale placed second on the ranking; its residents “enjoyed a $30,000 increase, on average, in annual household income from the prior year,” the outlet reported. In first place was Atherton, California, which is a short distance from Stanford University, Google and Facebook.
